Modular, tool-less, non-marring, completely adjustable SCAR barrel system for your nerf blaster!

2. Collet system allows for very strong, self-centering attachment that does not mar barrel finishes
3. Fully adjustable – 3 different scar body IDs included 13.6mm, 13.8mm, and 14mm. These allow for fine tuning of dart size, drag of the scar on the dart, amount of twist desired,
4. Quick-change shrouds allow for easy scar adjustments, with ZERO visible strings, allowing for good color separation and quick customization!
5. Shroud for full length Turbine are backwards compatible with Turbine mini, if the end user likes the performance of the mini, but the aesthetics of the full length version!
6. Single string! 30” of fishing line for Mini, and 42” of fishing line for full length version. Tweezers or scar stringing tool advised.

All STLs to build 2 versions of SCAR – mini, and full length
Each scar has 3 different bodies to fine tune performance
3 different collets included to fit ALL common nerf barrels
2 different collet nuts and 2 printable tools for assistance in installation
2 different shrouds for each – cylindrical ported shroud, and rectangular muzzle ported shroud

Requires:
A 3D Printer
Fishing line/string of your choice (30-42″ depending on version)
A dab of CA/Super glue (can be optional if you tie a knot at the end)
35mm of exposed barrel (to be safe)

FAQ/Recommendations
1. There’s so many sizes of body, what size should I print?
a. If your printer is accurate on ID (+/- .05mm x/y) then I recommend printing the 13.6mm version of the body, this has provided the best performance for me. If you print the 13.6mm version, and your body ID measures 13.5 or smaller, you will have issues with the shroud fitment, and possibly increased dart drag, see below
2. My SCAR shroud doesn’t fit! What’s wrong?
a. If the shroud does not clear the “head” when sliding on, then it means the print is outside of the .2mm of clearance range, this could be a calibration issue, or a slicing problem. Please print the “Loose” version which provides .25mm of clearance on that interface, or print the shroud at 101-102%.
3. My shroud clears the head, but doesn’t click into place!
a. If you have this issue, please gently file/sand down the lugs on the shroud until the scar fits.
4. My collet nut has strings on the inside, what’s the problem?!
a. The thread’s root angle is 30 degrees, which most consumer printers should be able to print as far as overhangs, however if stringing occurs, please try printing at .1mm layer height, this generally fixes the problem. Even if there are strings, the collet nuts tend to still work fine after some basic cleanup
5. What setting do you recommend for twist?
a. 2-3 clicks CCW when looking at the SCAR from the front – I prefer CCW, but CW is fine as well
6. How tight should I tighten the collet nut?
a. Hand tight is perfectly fine, however, with brass barrels, this system does have enough compression to deform the brass internally if really cranked on, but acts more like a tightening ring, and doesn’t leave permanent damage.
7. This scar doesn’t self center! What the deuce?!
a. If you have an issue with the scar centering, please check to see that it’s seated completely on the barrel, and that the barrel is engaged in the appropriate internal step, for 15mm barrels, a small strip of tape on the end to get it closer to 16mm can be used if there are significant issues.
8. This FAQ doesn’t answer everything!
