I am now presenting: This fine furniture item from the GenCo Storagewerke~
This is a storage box with a lid that can hold shells (or anything else if you so desire, really.), in the stylings of GenCo. The only hardware it needs are M3x12mm, and M3x20mm screws. (Wood screws, self-tapping, counter-sunk. You know the type if you have bought anything from me before.)
Right now it has four insert types: 40Max shells, BungieMax shells, Sillyshells, and Flypoint shells. It can hold 5×8 big shells, for a total of 40, or 300 Flypoint shells across multiple levels. The insert is divided into two halves, so you could half one side one shell type, and the other half another. Or none at all, if you want to put something else in there.
The box has a size of 47x31x22cm. (Width x Depth x Height)
I have also included channels on the sides (inside), in case you want to light this up with LED strips. (Which would be a cool thing to do and I have tested and confirmed that it works~)
The assembly instructions can be found here -> https://wildwestscifi.net/ammo-storage-box-assembly-instructions-1-0
Printing
You will need a printer with a bed of at least 220mm edge length. Everything is already in its proper printing orientation. Personally, I tend to print with 4 walls and 15% cubic infill.
Changelog
v1.0 – Initial Release
v1.1
– Added a Silly Shell insert
– Hollowed out the center bar on the back, to allow for battery storage.
– Added another wire channel path that leads internally to the battery storage.
– Added screw holes for a switch to the back wall, as well as a counter block on the inside of the lid. That should make it easy now to have the lights turn on when you open the lid, if so desired.
